Information: Money is available if you have an emergency situation and are in danger of losing your heat. Emergency situations may include: Having utility service termination, being in danger of having utility service terminated, being without fuel, hav-ing broken heating equipment or leaking lines that must be fixed or replaced. Emergency assistance with heating system failure is available 24 hours a day. The Pennsylvania Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps low-income households through ener-gy assistance grants. You can receive this money without being on welfare. No lien is placed on your property if you re-ceive this help. If you are eligible for LIHEAP, a payment will be sent directly to your utility/fuel dealer, and the payment will be credited on your bill.
